The beauty of this lake is unmatched. No wonder that at the Lake Jezero Kop Sicki Brod is holds a contest for underwater photography once a year.

I dove in, with the equipment of members from the Sarajevo Dive Club who came to Lukavac near Tuzla to dive for the weekend.
Bilal took my buddy and me into a world where ice-cold groundwater, a constant freshwater source, mixes with the extraordinary fauna of the beautiful lake that used to be a coal mine.
Weeks earlier, I read about this unique destination in a magazine, and of course, I was drilled to dive into the wonders I had been reading about.

The biodiversity in this lake is vibrant and stunning - the water surface is pleasantly warm but drops to 4 degrees at the bottom of about 35m in the summertime. The best description that comes to my mind is:
Diving in a lake feels like crawling through a tick underwater jungle.
Fish hide in the tick greenery sparkle like shiny little diamonds that dance delightfully underwater, and the branches shimmer and shine in all shades of green and golden hues when the sun breaks through.
The beauty of this lake is beyond comparison, just like the welcoming hospitality of the Dive Club Eko Diving Ronjeje- Lukavac. I have had an excellent dive and can't wait to be back in the water with great company
