As the name says, the accommodation is a Village House built with a gorgeous high roof where the dorm is; the wind blows through in the morning, providing fresh air in the countryside of Penang Island.
Many fruit trees are in the backyard; Lazy Lemon is the Durian species growing here. It's a beautiful and peaceful place to let the hustle and bustle go and enjoy a few days close to nature. The owner is a passionate cyclist who rents out bicycles during the season to explore the surrounding towns and wide range of durian fields yourself or hop on a tour. This part of the island is famous for its Durian Farms; little markets and shops are spread all over Penang selling this extraordinary fruit. Grocery stores are in the next town- a bit of a walk away, but a couple of small restaurants are within walking distance, offering authentic local cuisine.
Due to two years of the Pandemic, the Village House has been temporarily closed since the beginning of 2023.
