Tonsai Beach is the so-called base camp or Backpacker destination on the peninsula.
It used to be a terrific location where you arrive - choose a hammock on the beach and dump your backpack underneath it, which means it is taken. :)
With the years, this changed a bit.
Nowadays, there are Jungle accommodations, Hostels and a huge Hotel at the Beachfront. Tonsai still has this everything goes vibe. It is a climbers heaven and a beach lovers paradise.
Many Climbing schools are around, and the guides work professionally. The Guides work with well-taken care of equipment, and you will get to learn on the easier walls, and if you are lucky, you get to meet some of the climbing legions.
I recommend getting a fresh fruit shake at the Beach, watching some fantastic climbers, getting a guide, having a dip in the ocean and enjoying this little paradise called Tonsai Beach.
