Avatar Mountain at Zhangjiajie National Park in Hunan Region
The Avatar Mountains of China
Located in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park - 4810 ha of UNESCO Global Geopark. Scenic views of Banana Shaped Mountains, the legend says it has been one of the places where the creators of the Avatar movie got inspired. In 2010, one mountain was named official "Avatar Halleluja Mountain" in honour of the filmmakers.
It’s an incredible ride with the Bailong Elevator with 326m height -the tallest outdoor elevator in the World, recognized as a world record, is waiting to shoot 50 people within 2 min up in the air. It's built into the side of a colossal cliff. Huge glass windows provide a fantastic view while it’s shooting at 3 meters per second up.
It has been breathtaking and remarkable to hike this beautiful national park with its distinctive character and one-of-a-kind landscape.
In honor of the filmmakers one mountain was named “Avatar Halleluja Mountain”

A worker is having a break at the Bus terminal Entrance while waiting for new clients to arrive. Two men, one in the front and one in the back carry customers with limited mobility up the long mountain path around the National Park for a surprisingly low cost.
