In 2017, Marine Biologist Dr Gerry Goeden started, in collaboration with the Alunan Resort, the rehabilitation of the reef project at Pherhentian Islands.

Guests of the Resort are involved in this unique project by simply enjoying a vacation or can get involved by actively supporting the project by getting their hands on helping with replanting coral.

You can become active by adopting a coral online or as a guest and help plant little corals that will move back into the ocean to grow in one of the five coral garden.
